The area boasts 300 days of sunshine (although it can snow in the winter) and the sea is just 25 minutes away. The local French resorts of Collioure, Port Vendres, Canet and St Cyprien are closeby. Port Argeles, has a 7 km long, golden beach, ideal for those who enjoy sunbathing, swimming, sailing and water sports.

There are many places of interest to visit. Ceret, famous for cherry growing is just 10 minutes away and it also houses a modern art museum. There are numerous lovely towns and villages to visit, locally, all with there individual interests and charm.

Maureillas is only 15 minutes away from the Spanish border, so visitors have the added bonus of enjoying the food, culture, beaches, and villages of northern Spain.

Maureillas is well served by the local airports of Perpignan (30 mins), Gerona (1 hour) and Barcelona
(2 hours).
There is also an efficient train service and the road system is excellent.
